Is Solitude Truly Bliss?

There was a time,
When school bells would chime,
And sleeping till late would be a crime.
Traffic would block all streets and roads,
All we had were appointments in loads.
We yearned for coffee and breakfast in bed,
‘How busy I am’ is all we said.
‘Solitude is bliss’ we would complain,
But little did we know what was down the lane.
Apocalypse, catastrophe, annihilation and devastation,
Went from words in our imagination,
To our everyday situation.
Trapped in walls, caged by solitude,
Now we know the meaning of gratitude.
Imprisoned in walls - strong and compact,
Perseverance is necessary we know for a fact.
But let me tell you a secret I learnt,
It helped me gain the passion I burnt.
You aren’t alone in this world devastated,
Hope was your companion as the world annihilated.
